Fair Remuneration
Capalongas strives to guarantee to its craftsmen a stable work and a fair remuneration, higher from 30% to 50% with the Minimum Legal Compensation. Aside from this salary we created a special incentive fund that will be used to make educational scholarships and to provide an emergency trust in case of urgent needs of the dressmakers. Capalongas takes charge also in pre-financing the orders including the purchasing of raw materials.
Health Benefits
All the employees of the workshop will be registered in the medical insurance called Philhealth. Philhealth is an insurance company created in 1995 and managed by the government. This insurance includes a partial of doctors’ professional fees, medicines expenses, costs of hospitalization and medical analysis. Capalongas also takes charges of the annual medical examination and dental visit of all the sewers.
Improvement of the working conditions
Capalongas vows to build a conducive working environment and conditions at their workshop. We contribute in improving particularly our workshop by constantly financing its repairs and improvements and purchasing the necessary equipments.
Training and Seminars
One of the objectives of Capalongas is professionalizing the the artist we are working with. We provide the dressmakers a continuous training in order to improve and to develop their competences. These formations are not only limited to the seaming but can also relate to any other field enabling them to open out and improve their living conditions.
No to Discrimination
Capalongas opposes to any kind of discrimination that it is based on the sex, the age or the religion. Even before their technical skills, the principal criterion selected to integrate in the workshop of Capalongas is sewer's motivation.
