Last Friday, for almost 5 years now I experience once again a typhoon.
Our morning was broken by news that there will be a typhoon arriving.
Fears of landslide and flood is expected in key areas like Samar,
Sorsogon, Albay, Cavite (where i am living right now) and some heavy
rains in Manila. It is interesting to know that in Philippines we
used to give "girl's name" to typhoon arriving. Saying that women
behaves and thinks like typhoon, meaning we keep on changing... But
with the growing feminists in my country this custom have changed.
Well, Caloy ( the name of this recent typhoon) has caused a lot of damages and has claimed about30 lives. This is only the start of the typhoon season: every year ten to twenty of them hit Philippines: tropical islands do not always look like the paradisiac pictures we often see...
